  • A gap of 1-2 hours should be kept so that the stomach/gut is empty when the drink reaches it. Take this drink twice daily for best results.

For 6-9 years: ¼ tsp twice a day

  1. My kid is a hyperactive one! The problem comes not while he is playing but when he has to go off to bed. Even after a draining day, he refuses to fall asleep and in turn our sleep also gets compromised. Either he wants to watch TV or to play with us. Sometimes, be falls asleep but then wakes up again in a more cranky mood. It is a Herculean task to again pacify him. After taking Soja-k, there has been a great change in his sleep pattern and quality too. I just need to read him a story and by the end of it he has fallen asleep. Such a relief!

  6. There are a few kids sleep aids out there that claim to be natural and gentle and we went through a couple before we found Soja-k for my children who have been having a tough time going to bed. I wanted to try the supplements myself before giving them to him to be sure that they weren’t going to be too harsh. The first one we bought contained 1mg of Melatonin per tablet. I took it one night (a small dose for me, according to their packaging) and don’t remember much after that. When I woke up the next day, I felt like I got hit by a truck. It was anything but pleasant and I certainly didn’t feel well rested. More like I was waking up from having passed out!     I had already been taking the adult version of this (Soja-a) for a year and it has changed my life!! Hasn’t even been a week yet and I’ve noticed a difference in my 4 year old. He’s still a high energy typical boy but he hasn’t been throwing constant fits like he was before. It’s a lot easier for me to get him to cooperate with basic daily tasks, such as getting dressed and into the car, now. For the first time in forever he sat nicely and put his toys together without throwing and yelling. And it was also the first day since he started school that the teacher said he had a good day. I went ahead and ordered another bottle and started telling all my friends about it. The only negative thing I will say it he is super picky eater and doesn’t seem to care for the taste but I just add it to milk and add some honey and it does the trick

It is medically proven that sleep is as important as food. Long working hours, schedules of our children packed with school, after-school activities and other lifestyle factors do take a toll on their health which results in naps getting missed, bedtimes being pushed back, early mornings and nights not being peaceful anymore. These may not seem a big deal, but it does affect a child’s overall health subsequently. Sleep is directly related to melatonin, a hormone secreted by the pineal gland in the brain on the onset of darkness. This hormone initiates the sleep pattern.

Few food which can be incorporated in our child’s diet are as under:

Dairy Products - Dairy products such as milk, cottage cheese, yogurt and cheese are among the most rich sources of tryptophan. Tryptophan, in conjunction with the body, facilitates production of serotonin, which makes one feel sleepy. These products are also a good source of calcium, which help in processing of tryptophan and further, in producing another sleep-inducing neurotransmitter, melatonin. It has been well established that having a small serving of cottage cheese or a warm glass of milk around an hour before bedtime, helps relax toddlers and also induces sleep.

 Bananas - This fruit is an easy bedtime snack option. They contain melatonin as well as serotonin, which help immensely to calm the child and regulate sleep cycles. Bananas also contain magnesium and potassium which are relax our muscles. Instead of consuming plain bananas, another option is to prepare a banana smoothie with low-fat milk and a few cubes of ice as deemed appropriate.
