Treating Hashimoto’s Disease With Thyromeric

What is Hashimoto’s Disease?

Hashimoto disease (Chronic Lymphocytic Thyroiditis) is an Auto-immuno disorder which affects the butterfly-shaped thyroid gland found near the Adam’s apple. In this disease, the body’s own immune system starts functioning faultily and begins to attack the thyroid gland. The most common outcome of this disease is hypothyroidism which is nothing but an underactive thyroid gland leading to problems like fatigue and listlessness, constipation, hair loss, weight gain, muscle weakness – to name a few.

What does the thyroid gland do?

A healthy thyroid gland is responsible for producing the thyroid hormones (T3 and T4) in sufficient quantity.  These hormones are responsible for:

  1. Regulating metabolism
  2. Increasing the flow of blood in the body
  3. Increasing the body temperature
  4. Maintenance of a normal menstrual cycle
  5. Regulating digestive function
  6. Regulating muscle control
  7. Regulating brain development
  8. Regulating bone maintenance

What are the symptoms of Hashimoto’s disease?

It is difficult to catch Hashimoto’s disease in its early stages since its symptoms develop very slowly over years. Also, its symptoms are very similar to other thyroid reacted diseases like hypothyroidism and goiter. These symptoms are as follows:

  1. Fatigue and listlessness
  2. Chronic urticarial (hives)
  3. A puffy face
  4. Swelling in the neck
  5. Weight gain
  6. Muscular aches and pains
  7. Tenderness in the muscles and bones
  8. Joint stiffness
  9. Menstrual irregularities
  10. Constipation
  11. Hair Loss
  12. Brittle nails
  13. Dry skin
  14. Tongue enlargement

What are the causes of Hashimoto’s disease?

Hashimoto’s disease is believed to be hereditary in nature. However, some physicians believe that a virus or bacterium may be the cause of this disease.

Who is more susceptible to develop Hashimoto’s disease?

  • Women are known to be more at risk than men as far as Hashimoto’s disease is concerned.
  • If there is a history of Hashimoto’s disease in your family then you are more prone to falling prey to it.
  • Hashimoto’s disease occurs mostly in middle age
  • People exposed to environmental radiation are more prone to this disease.

Are there any natural remedies to manage Hashimoto’s disease?

  • Curcumin, the key ingredient found in the golden spice – turmeric has shown positive signs of attenuating autoimmune diseases by reducing inflammation. Not only does this substance provide relief from pain, it also suppresses the progression of the disease.
  • Curcumin’s anti-inflammatory properties are so compelling that they are said to be of the same order as some of the anti-inflammatory medicines prescribed to patients of Hashimoto’s disease.
  • Another benefit of curcumin is its ability to hamper the genesis of goiter which is one of the manifestations of Hashimoto’s disease.

Are there any natural curcumin supplements available in India?

  • In fact in the very heart of the Indian subcontinent lies a stretch of farmland known by the name of Bagdara Farms which is committed to produce the highest quality of curcumin and curcumin-enriched supplements without the use of any chemical fertilizers, insecticides or pesticides.
  • The products developed here are 100% natural and organic.
  • One of the curcumin supplement produced at Bagdara Farms is Thyromeric which is specifically tailor made for people suffering from thyroid related diseases.

How should Thyromeric be consumed so as to benefit most in case of Hashimoto’s disease?

  • The curcumin found in Thyromeric is best taken in the form of a concoction prepared with ground black pepper and coconut milk or coconut oil. Black pepper is an essential ingredient in this preparation because it contains an alkaloid known as Piperine which ensures that the curcumin is absorbed properly by the body by increasing its bioavailability.
  • This is important since curcumin, by itself, is a difficult to absorb substance. The other chief ingredient of this concoction is the coconut milk or coconut oil. This is an important additive too especially since curcumin when taken with fat is more easily absorbed by the body. Also, combining Thyromeric with coconut milk/oil helps in increasing the metabolic rate, making it easier to manage weight.
  • The ratio in which these three ingredients are to be added is – ½ a teaspoon of Thyromeric, a pinch of black pepper and 2-3 tablespoons of coconut milk or ½ – 1 tablespoon of coconut oil.

Even though Thyromeric is 100% natural and organic, it is always wise to try it first in a small quantity to ascertain your body’s general reaction towards it. Furthermore, do not take Thyromeric in addition to any other supplement that you might be taking as this may cause unwanted reaction.

1 thought on “Decoding Hashimoto’s Disease With Thyromeric

  1. I am one of those rare people who has Hashimoto’s and always questioned the fact as to why was I amongst them? Since the symptoms could not be identified easily during the initial stage, it was quite late by the time it was diagnosed. Ask a person with thyroid disorders, the symptoms might sound very light but only the one going through it will know the real pain and discomfort. When I started taking Thyromeric, I was not too confident of it but over a month or two, it has really helped get my thyroid levels under control.
